UMK academics continue to bring honour to Malaysia on the global stage after being awarded the “Star of Discovery” Award at the UNESCO–Global Awards for World Heritage Education Cases (AWHEIC) 2025 held in Paris.

This achievement demonstrates the excellence of Malaysian academia in research, innovation, and world heritage conservation, aligned with the aspirations of Malaysia MADANI, which emphasises knowledge, compassion, and sustainability in human development.
